Alan Doyle

Individual Psychotherapist, MBACP

Alan is a BACP registered Integrative Psychotherapist with extensive personal and professional experience of the issues surrounding the world of addiction. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University.

If you have arrived at this page, I’d imagine that you might be looking for some help – either for yourself or someone you know? That’s a positive step, I know it’s not easy to take that first step and ask for help when we need it.

Ethos

As an integrative practitioner, Alan's ethos is to be open-minded and flexible around personal needs and will therefore seek to tailor an individualised treatment programme that will suit your requirements. One focus is to work on your current difficulties against a background of both your current environment, and the way in which your life and ways of thinking have been shaped by your previous experiences – from childhood through to adulthood – as these serve as a framework about how you live your day to day life.

Background

Prior to devoting himself to a new career in the arena of mental health and recovery, Alan worked for over 20 years as a banker in the City of London. This enables him to bring an individual perspective on some of the challenges inherent in some of the pressurised and intense working environments prevalent in the modern world.
